The Route and Schedule for The Race is based on the 2008/09 Global Challenge, sadly now cancelled, (Wikipedia article), and begins in Gameweek 7 - finishing towards the end of the season in Gameweek 37. (A 2GW stop-over in Sydney over Christmas and New Year has been scheduled)
A huge amount of credit goes to those who have spent a great deal of time putting various things together and freely publishing their work for all to use - some of which has been utilitised here.
Ed Williams’ Aviation Formula V2.1 are the basis on which all the calculations in this game were based. A BIG thank you to Ed for this invaluable resource.
