Week 4 of Leg 6
With the winners already decided it’s up to the remaining boats to try and make it to La Rochelle before the final week of Leg 6 comes to a close.
Pool A
3 boats still at sea at the end with Lythgoe’s Disciples just short of the line, ooo ahh! some distance out and Kelly’s Heroes having even more problems and running into the Scilly Isles twice and therefore being returned to waypoint 2. An awful leg for SunderlandFan and her crew - the lady really doesn’t want to return to Europe 
Pool B
Everyone makes home it except Hoops! who is another boat who had bad luck piled on him in this leg - this week running aground on a tiny island off the French coast near Brest.
Pool C
Again everyone makes it into port except one boat - in this case Crazy Canucks who is another to suffer heavily this leg - running aground again on Belle-Ile en Mer of the west coast of France.
Pool D
3 boats motoring their way home in this pool: Chester Draws, after some trouble getting past the final waypoint, ran aground on tack 11, Bullys Special Prize who began the week back at waypoint 2 and Self Cleaning Ovens who also ran aground on tack 11 while heading for port.
Many in the fleet are probably glad this leg is over but the final 2 week leg from La Rochelle to Portsmouth is just as likely to claim victims on the rocks so the race isn’t yet over for those near the top of the leader board.
