This is something, as a Google Earth enthusiast, I would love to do - but what are the chances…?
For me, and most of us, very very small, but it is possible for a lucky few.
About a year ago I got a short email from a good friend of mine, Graham, to check out an area on the estate he lives. Not expecting anything ground breaking I had a look and low and behold this was the sight I saw.
Graham was convinced it was him and the logic for this is indisputable.
He lives on an estate in Hertfordshire that has a cricket pitch - not Lords - but a pitch none the less which is used about 4 times a year for friendly games between a team made up of residents and acquaintances and other local teams.
It always falls to Graham and Mick (other resident) to get the square and boundary prepared and it’s always Graham who paints the popping crease. Here’s a closer look.
In the days before the date of the underlying imagery was shown in the view, and before I’d fully worked out how to find it through the additional metadata layers, 10th Sept 2006 was one of 2 dates that were identified as possibles. And so it was to be when the image date was added a few months later.
